The best mobile RPGs

RPGs have one of the most loyal followings of any video game genre. However, for Android, a good RPG can be hard to find as a simple search can turn up hundreds of results.

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
This game has become a classic of MMORPGs. It was launched back in 2003 and it has reached multiple platforms since then… and now you can even play it on your smartphone or tablet! It is totally a must-play for Star Wars fans. You get to create your own Jedi, go through iconic Star Wars locations and enjoy everything a good MMORPG has to offer. What is there not to like? I say it will be your best spent $9.99 in a while.

Order & Chaos Online
Of course, we can’t forget about what could be among the biggest mobile MMORPGs in existence!! Order and Chaos has an infinite list of active players and is pure bliss for the MMORPG fan. It was among the first to offer a complete MMO experience for mobile users. And the best part? It’s free to play and download! You can get it right now. They do have in-app purchases, though. You know, just in case you want to advance faster.

Chaos Rings series
You want a good RPG game? The Chaos Rings series! The story revolves around the Ark Arena, a place where couples are chosen to combat other couples. I can tell you more about why, but I would ruin it for you. As it goes with any Square Enix games, these titles are not cheap. I can say they are worth every penny, though. And guess what? Windows Phone has the first game available!

Chrono Trigger
Now that we are on the subject of Square Enix games, let’s get a couple more games out of the way. The first is Chrono Trigger, which is now considered one of the classics in RPG gaming. You go into the past, the future and even the end of times… all in order to save the world. This game costs $9.99, but it is another one of those timeless RPG titles you can play over and over. You definitely get your moneys worth!

Final Fantasy 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and Dimensions
You shouldn’t trust any top list of RPG games that doesn’t include a Final Fantasy in it. It’s an unwritten rule all RPG fans are very well aware of. And yes, I am one of those who are deep in love with the Final Fantasy series! I’ve been playing RPG’s since I spawned and was wearing diapers! My mother always told me that’s how I was reading and writing by the age of 2!! These games are amazing. I couldn’t pick just one of them.. it had to be them all!! It has very interesting and unique characters, an awesome story and a twist that makes the game even better. It’s $70, a pricey amount to pay for any mobile game, but you get ALL the Final Fantasy’s available in one big package… that’s 7 apps in ONE! On the Google Play Store, each game is $15.99, some are $7.99 and $9.99 – unfortunately they don’t have the bundle available on there for purchase.
